NOISE LEVELS REPORT - RACEWAY 22/4/09
June 2nd, 2009We have just received the results from a report done on the 22nd April from Fitzalan Circuit, Arundel showing the noise levels from a race meet at the track. We are lead to believe that the Queensland Department of Environment has set guidelines for daytime and night time noise limits. Night time is set to 55 Db and day time is set to a limit at 63 Db and as you can see fromthe graph below from a professional noise recording company, we see that between the 18th April at 6pm to to 22nd April at 2pm the results are:

AGM & PUBLIC MEETING 7/5/2009
May 25th, 2009A very good turnout of members and residents attended the AGM held at the Arundel State School Hall this evening. Rick Parry stepped down as President as military commitments requires his attention for some time. Mark Tull was elected President and a new committee was formed. These include Karen, Rick, Vivien, Robert, Bob, Rhonda, Greg, Barbara Ken and Van. The years reports were delivered and the association had $1446.95 in the bank. NO bills outstanding and is in a healthy position. The meeting saw addresses by 3 local Gold Coast Councillors and became very noisy at times, as different views were put. The meeting resloved to place a patition to the mayor based on the removal of the dump and the raceway and making good the site and surrounds if affected. The meeting voted in a majority to close the raceway, and unanimously to close the dump. Subsequently, the committee met for the first time on the 21/6/09 and formulated a strategic plan for the next 6 to 12 months. Details of which will be posted and distributed as it is finalised .

Tee Trees Golf Course
August 6th, 2006In February 2006, the residents of Tee Trees estate complained to the Federal and State governments about the lack of progress in the construction of their golf course.
Also, they approached PARA to assist in the liaison with these agencies. As well, Clr Rob Molhoek (Division 4) has been of great assistance in progressing this issue. More information here.
Current Major Activities
September 7th, 20051. Monitoring the re-development of Driftwood Park near Arundel Plaza in accordance with the master plan negotiated with GCCC.
2. Provision of a Community Centre near Arundel Plaza as a part of the SeaChange Active over 50s development.
3. Develop a better understanding with GCCC
4. Represent residents of Tee Trees Estate in order to assist them gain the long promised and well overdue golf course for their estate.
5. Represent the residents of Arundel Hills Country Club respond accordingly to the proposed further development in their area.
